inside spring lake studios
some new work
& a poem...
entitled: When I was a caterpillar
we met at a bar,
took a walk or two.
our minds warped
as we stumbled through a door,
to fill our souls with lovers brew.
we moved to notes in African.
we spilled ourselves with wine.
you kissed me,
with red colored glasses,
cliche by design.
you wrapped your heart around my brain
and blocked my every view.
took me down winded roads,
and airwaves.
so, i thought, "you."
for us I flew
maddened to cocoon.
heavied by wings
that tugged minced words
and blinded the moon.
unsnarled and exposed,
i crawled back to mine.
deranged by nature,
and confusion,
and maddened by time.
in my reflection
lies roame my mind
of lusts tricky games
muddied without devotion
the beats of my anguish resigned.
